Kenneth R. Haber is the President of SHS. Mr. Haber is a graduate of Long Island University (Masters of Public administration), is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and has attained Masters Level Certification as a Healthcare Safety Professional from the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers.
Ken Haber has over 30 years of hospital Support Services experience. He spent 7 years as the Vice President of Support Services at the 2,200 bed New York Presbyterian Hospital managing all aspects of the Support Services across five campuses and approximately 10 million square feet. Prior to joining New York Presbyterian Hospital, Ken spent 10 years as the Vice President General Services at The New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens. Mr. Haber was also part of hospital management at Nassau County Medical Center, Westchester County Medical Center and United Hospital.
Mr. Haber developed state of the art programs in sustainability, food service delivery and retail applications, environmental services, data management, training and development and many additional areas. Ken was responsible for implementation of a “state of the art” recycling program, used as a model for New York State and several hospitals. This program was recognized by Modern Health Care, and Mr. Haber was a recipient of the Service Excellence Award.
Additionally, Ken Haber spent some time in manufacturing and consulting focused on business expansion, marketing, and improved operating efficiencies. Mr. Haber is also a published author with recent articles on quality, security, and sustainability.
